Welcome to First Steps Day Nursery

smilingFirst Steps Day Nursery is managed and administered by Chichester College.  The Nursery provides professional day care facilities for 142 children aged 0 - 5 years.

It is divided into five Units:

  • Step One - babies (up to 24)
  • Step Two - toddlers (up to 24)
  • Step Three - 2 - 3 year olds (up to 46)
  • Step Four Nursery School - 3 - 5 year olds (up to 48)

First Steps Day Nursery is open Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 6.00pm, 51 weeks of the year.  First Steps will be closed on Bank and Public holidays, and also for the week between Christmas and New Year.

As well as the day nursery, First Steps Childcare offers an Out Of School Club,  Breakfast Club, Creche, Mobile Creche and a Babysitting Service.

cuddlesA high ratio of professional, qualified and experienced staff are employed.

The Nursery School has a qualified Early Years Teacher providing an excellent Early Years Curriculum in line with the Foundation Stage.

In addition, Nursery Nursing students and students from related courses are often on training placements in the nursery.

The majority of the staff have a First Aid qualification.
